‘Changes’ was issued on the orange label from 1971 to 1975 in the US, there are pressings with both scratched and stamped matrixes and it is very difficult to tell when they were pressed, the best way is by the sleeve, early copies came in this one or the rainbow one.
‘Changes’ was re-promoted and advertised throughout 1974, but in December ’74 there was a more concerted effort and new Promos were made and distributed in both the US & Canada. This paid off with Changes reaching #41 in the US in Jan 1975, it had originally reached #66 in early 1972
There is no 1971 promo from Canada, as RCA promos were only made there from 1974 to 1977
The ‘H’ & ‘T’ on these records stands for Heads & Tails
